That's good to hear PS3 users can really do Netflix now, it's a shame PS3 only owners had to miss out for this long because it really is a great service.  I am curious why you need the disc though.  I doubt it's anti-piracy and I'm not sure why you can't just have a download (or can't now since apparently in the future you won't beed a disc).

That said, unless they add trophy support to Netflix (which would be *awesome*) I'm sticking to my 360 for Netflix viewing.

so you have to pay 10 bucks and its for USA only and Europe as always,gets ignored? no, thanks, i can already watch and download FREE movies on my PS3 thanks to the internet search option

Does anyone really want to sport the achievement for watching Pearl Harbor?  You would spend months explaining it to your friends.  "No, it wasn't me, it was my, now, ex-girlfriend."  Somethings are best left unexplored.

I assume it would be for watching any certain movie, but would be things like:

  • Watch x hours (and that could be in increments of like 5, 10, 15, ect)
  • Watch an entire TV series
  • Watch a movie
  • Watch a horror movie
  • Watch a movie with a friend
  • Watch an indie movie
  • Rate a movie
  • ect

Now what be fun is getting the this badge of shame: watch an erotic thriller.

Watch a movie with a friend? You would need PS eye for that..... I would have to have a lifesized Jessica Alba cutout :/

I'm assuming it will have the same features as the 360 Netflix until shown otherwise which means you have the movie party option thing where you can watch some movies with friends.  No need for the PSEye.
