Forums - Sony - NAT type problems

IllegalPaladin said:

I think a PS3 firmware update broke support for my router. I used to be able to set a DMZ and set my PS3 to that IP and it'd get a NAT2 no problem. After a certain update, nothing I do to my router works and I've been stuck with a NAT3 on that router ever since.

Might be the same probem I'm having which is annoying because I want to try Uncharted 2's online modes.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Around the Network

you need a modem or router that supports microfragmentation or you need to connect directly to your modem, in case you are using a wireless routes try getting switch and testing your connection then

dd if = /dev/brain | tail -f | grep games | nc -lnvvp 80

I tried connecting straight to the modem and it did not work either, still type 3. Found online that other people have this problem with the modem and I'm not going to buy a new modem from them.

I've tried wired, wireless, straight to modem, modem as a bridge, opening the ports, UPnP on, UPnP off and DMZ.
