Forums - Microsoft - Has Microsoft Earned Your Respect?

I respect Microsoft for providing tough competitions to the Playstation because Sony was getting arrogant and really thought that the gaming world would automatically buy whatever Sony releases. Thanks to the 360's success, Sony started to feel the need to innovate (well, at least copy the good things about competition, and to create new IPs) and the PS3 is finally becoming what it should have been back in 2006.

Ah yes of course I do. I did infact make the "Microsoft 4 lyfe!" thread not too long ago.

It's just that simple.

I always respected Microsoft, there not perfect, but where they came with Windows, and now the Xbox brand is commendable. My only problem was, and one of Microsoft's faults, they to be first at all cost, and this is where the fiasco of the RROD bite them right in the arse.

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

As a PS fan, I have payed my respect many times in how they do their business. Then they screw up after few weeks..

Take my love, take my land..

I love Windows... that's it...

Microsoft always had my respect.

I love Windows.
I love the Zune.

I loved the Xbox.
I love the Xbox 360.

I love MSN (Live Messenger)
I love my Keyboard.

There so much things "Microsoft" in our lives!

Now they are taking over the gaming market (slowly but surely). In only two generations, Microsoft is now the player "to watch for".
The Playstation brand is nowhere as big as in the PS1/PS2 era, and this is the result of Microsoft entering the gaming market. The "hardcore" has splitted.

Congrats Microsoft.
I'll always be a supporter!

Bring on Natal! and then BRING ON THE 720!

My Gaming Setup

Well, I'm glad they put Sony in their place. However, I can't say I'm happy with their buying of 3rd party games (only to release a year later with more content on the PS3) and exclusive DLC and the sort. It's smart from a business perspective, but it screws over gamers who are limited to one platform (thankfully, I'm not one of those people).

I would've been ok with FF13 going multiplat if there weren't compromises involved. Tekken 6 going multiplat hurt both Namco Bandai and Sony. I had to wait an extra year just for this game, and now the general hype has died down for this game. I don't mind if this was just to hinder Sony, but what bothers me is that I had to wait a whole year, AND that this only resulted in Namco shooting themselves in the foot.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Maybe if they hadn't killed the best thing that they had going, Ensemble Studios.

Minus some common complaints shared by fans and haters alike, I have absolutely loved what they have done with the 360.

This generation they created a amazing gamers system. Coupled with the awesomeness that is LIVE, and the largest library of games, as a gamer.....Yes, they have my respect.

lol this thread made me lawl. what about the bullshit prices for their accessories? 100 bucks for a wireless adapter? give me a break.
