Forums - Microsoft - Assassin's Creed DVD Issues Fixed

I'm still wondering how a game like mass effect doesn't have any problem of DVD size and some games with what 3 cities ok a lot of people I admit and freedom but still.... can't fit on a DVD... and for god sake you can't fit it on a DVD put it on 32 DVDs who fucking cares..... the DVD size is a non issue...... I remember when I had games on more than 10 floppy disk it never has been a pb.... people are just getting so damn lazy....
hey they probably should put the game on more than one DVD any way that would help to solve some coach potato extra belly fat problem by making them move (not trying to blame fat people who got a genetic problem but fat ass who don't move enough).... the size of the DVD is not an issue any dev saying that is a fucking moron.... they could do game on CD still it wouldn't be an issue... it would be annoying for both the dev and player true but certainly not an issue beside production cost....

of course when I say CD it's admiting you have a hard drive..... (just preventing to have argument on technicality)

@sqrl

well XB is the leading console in term of game sale isn't it ??? I didn't double check but I think it is... which would put it in lead in the eyes of 3rd party dev...

they got a very angry call from MS and were told to tow the party line if knew what was good with them

Or could it simply be a senior executive at Ubisoft reminding an underling that the Xbox 360 is the lead console this generation and if that the Assassin's Creed development team's bonus depends on big sales numbers. With so much competition for the dollar this Christmas season, pissing off Xbox 360 owners simply is not smart.

When did that happen?

OT: Even if we assume the 360 version is going to have a few lower quality textures it's not very likely to have a big impact on the game....actually its not likely to have ANY impact on the game. I think folks need to stop focusing on the graphics this much and realise that if the game is a hell of a lot of fun then a texture being a little blurry when you walk right up to it isn't going to matter at all. It's still going to be a lot of fun

 Well for the time being, the 360 still leads in the US and Europe which means that a lot of western developers will still be focusing on it for some time.

 I'd say that it's the Wii's manifest destiny to lead in all markets though.

Well, the DVD problem was fixed. I wonder if they also fixed the PS3 memory issues? Assassin's Creed went gold today - for both platforms. We'll find out in just under three weeks how the two different versions of the game turned out.
