Reviewers need to worry about getting hits and turning their review into a story. Also someone who's willing to spend their time reviewing games probably likes gaming more in general, but has different standards. I.e. someone who likes a main stream band, vs. the hardcore fan that likes obscure sub genres of music.

Amazon reviews can also change with time. So when a game first comes out it could be new. But amazon customers can continuously review games. There are also a lot of fanboys. I.E. PSP GO got 2 reviews of 0/5 before it was released.

I guess it also depends on the amount of reviews in metacritic vs. amazon.

Ooh nice thread. Really cool to see all these numbers at once. Funny how reviewers are out of touch with the PS360 fans and the Wii fans, but in opposite ways for each.
