Forums - General - I have to pay $1200 CAD for my phone bill!

I recently got my cell phone bill back and it's 1200 bucks! It's usually only 70 bucks so I called them and asked what the problem was. To make a long story short, I signed up for a long distance plan where I can talk unlimitedly to 5 people within Canada...so for that one month I talked like crazy! It turns out that the guy made a mistake in setting up my plan so it was never activated and I made those long distance calls and got charged for em! I was on the phone with them for 5 hours today and they aren't giving a credit because there is apparently no way to prove that the error was from their side. I seriously cant fu%king believe this, 1200 bucks of my hard earned money is going out of my pocket! I hate Rogers so much, they are friggin thieves!

Good link.

You got screwed Stewroids. Time to go to war. You fight not only for your $1200 bucks, but for consumer justice.

Hey everyone, firstly I just wanted to thank you all for your suggestions regarding this issue...I was on the phone with them today for 4 hours and we finally came across an agreement...they gave me the full credit as well as 5 dollar credit every month for the rest of my contract term in order to make up for the hassle I had to go through :D

Booyah! That's what, a year and a half of pre-paid phone bills? Not bad.

I was all set to give my condolences, but instead congratulations!

My sister and her fiance at the time, had a plan with Fido. They had a plan where they had unlimited talking with each other, but they got billed $700 for the time they spent talking to each other. It took them a week or so of arguing before they got their money back. They didn't get a bonus like you did though.
