Being from the UK - there's now a spade (or whatever the collective term is) of games coming out so to make funds for these I took some of my less popular games back to trade in this morning and couldn't belive what I got for them.  Below is a list

1.  Soduko for DS bought it from same shop 2 months ago for £18 and got £8

2.  Fifa 08 for 360 bought it less than a fortnight ago for £40 same shop and got £14

3.  GRAW 2 for 360 bought it as a £19.99 title at same time as Soduko and only got £3

4.  Tiger Woods 08 for Wii bought it for £34.99 at launch and got £27

5.  Resident evil 4 Wii edition, bought it at launch for £29.99 back in July and got £22.00

6.  Mercury Madness, bought this brand new for £25.00 on sale form same shop 5 - 6 weeks ago and got £22.00

It seems that Wii games aren't declining in value and as these titles and as they have more replay value for me personally then it may be best to rent 360 games and buy Wii games from now on.  What gets me though is people saying Wii owners aren't buying third party games yet out of these 3 Wii titles the shop must be confident of selling them at near full price hence their large trade-in value and if 360 games lose their value so quick it's no wonder people are hanging onto them for longer.

Not a bad days work though I walked out with Phantom Houglass, Orange Box and half of whats needed for MP3 on Friday.

Who knows? it just really suprised me thats all and I thought i'd share

Maybe the games you traded in at the current shop were out of stock and already in demand? It doesn't say anything overall about moving software capability of any console.

That's interesting.

Maybe it's because there are so many 360 games out already and they expect to move as many Wii's as 360's over the holiday and feel they need to bolster the amount and selection of Wii software?

out of stock doesn't set the prices of the games at Game, they are given the prices by their head office and they have no say in it whatsoever. Just seems weird the DS / 360 titles devalued pretty much as I expected yet the wii bearly moves.
