The price of $60 million fetched Nickelodeon not only the license to produce a new TMNT show away from 4Kids, but the license for the whole property, lock, stock, and barrel, away from Mirage Studios as well. It looks like the first TMNT game to have cooperation from one of the series' original creators (Smash Up) will also be the last. Nickelodeon is apparently planning to make a CG animated series with it, as well as a feature film slated for 2012, though they will continue the partnership with playmates toys in toy line production
