Forums - Microsoft - DREAM YEAR 2010 for Xbox 360

The 1 game on that list I wish I still had 360 for: Splinter Cell Conviction

or a different game, or some kind of megapack / DLC.

That list did not show any sequel made within 2 years.

I really don't understand how that is supposed to prove that it will be out next year...

According to that list, it specifically shows how they've never released a sequel within 2 years of another game.

If you take a look at Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, there's two years and two months in between the releases of those games, but it looks like three years because Mass Effect 2 is coming in January. Fable III will at the earliest (yeah, I'm speculating here) be released in October, which would be two years exactly, and theoretically could be released in December, which would be roughly the same amount of development time. Could it be delayed? Yes. Is it infeasible for the game to release in 2010? I don't see why it would be.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

I would think that it would take more time and efforts to release 4 completely different games then it would to release one sequel. And how are the rumors of a new Killzone coming out next year going?

I'm just saying that you can't always rely on "confirmations".

love your lists sir.

Can't wait to play Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Halo: Reach, and Fable 3.

Re all the port talk: I could see Versus XIII getting ported as a possibility because I'm sure Square-Enix would love the monetary opportunities. They'd do anything for a buck. MGS4 as far as I know is the only big selling third-party exclusive the PS3 has to this date (looking through the sales list, the big sellers are either SCE-published or multi-plats) and even Kojima couldn't ignore the 360 market. The difference being that the 360 is getting Rising instead of MGS4, since it's likely that Rising will sell much more on the 360 than a late port 2+ year old full-priced MGS4 will (no matter how badass the boxset would look like. lol :D) Agent isn't safe either. Rockstar ported all those GTA games to Xbox last gen after all. Third-party exclusivity is becoming a thing of the past.

Mass Effect 2, Halo Reach, and Splinter Cell: Conviction definitely a great year for me. Might want to add the Gears of War 3 in the "could happen" section. But like I said in the PS3 thread... good 2010 lineups all around and proud to own all 3.

Versus is a ps3 exclusive.

Just like FFXIII was PS3 exclusive...
Just like Tales of Vesperia was 360 exclusive...
Just like Tekken 6 was PS3 exclusive...
Just like Bioshock was 360 exclusive...

Come on, you didn't learn anything this gen?

And why would I dream about a release of Versus on 360 (even if I own a PS3)?
Simply because of the controller.
I find the 360 much more comfortable, and I prefer the incurved thumbsticks.

If two games are "exact port", I'll buy the 360 version. My hands LOVE the 360 controller.
My PS3 is for exclusive games I cannot find elsewhere (Uncharted 2, MGS4) and Blu-Ray movie playback, of course.

The same way, I'll buy Final Fantasy XIII on the 360.
