me and a friend bought it day one and we had the most fun on a game doing co-op in a long time. But we beat the game really quick then we beat if on the hardest mode after that. I got a platinum in 2 weeks. wanted more. Fun while it lasted though.

Only Two Worlds? How about anything by South Peak?

I gave it an 8.8 in my user review but after playing Uncharted 2, every other third person shooter went down 0.5 in my book.

A very solid game, but a total dissapointment for me. In some parts I thought I was playing Gears of War (A great game sure, but certainly not my type)

5 out of 10 - biggest dissapointment this gen thus far.

Pro:
Graphics are great, especially on the 360
Coop is there if you want to play with a friend and can`t find Halo 3 or geras of war in your house
Sheva is hot

Con:
-Single player mode is pointless and not enjoyable
-Worse than Resident Evil 4 in every way
-no longer feels like resident evil game
-not scary and no tension, just another 3rd person shooter
-no gameplay variety, a puzzle here and there would be nice
-Bosses are either ripped off from part 4 or completely laughable
-Its short, half the length of part 4
-Story, dialoge, characters... suck
-Dated contols for an action shooter game

Resident Evil 4 changed the style and that hurt enough. Then went as far as fucking up RE4's gameplay. Inventory System and Horrible AI

It was forgetful

Well let me first start off by saying that Resident Evil is my second favorite franchise of all time only behind the likes of Zelda. Now that's saying something.

Resident Evil 5 was definitely a game I was psyched for and hyped for. When I got it, I could help but feel disappointed. Let's start with the pros, the co-op was simply a great idea and worked beautifully. Graphically the game looked great and the voice acting was decent enough. Gameplay wise it perfected even further the amazing and revolutionary RE4 setup. Overally it provided an enjoyable experience that was fun to play through.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of cons. The worst part about all of it was how they completely trashed and destroyed the RE storyline and the RE characters. It was pure blasphemy of what they did with the series and I know Shinji Mikami did a few facepalms when he saw what they did. Even further they made it a hell of a more like an action game then any survival horror aspects whatsoever. All the scary parts were more gross than anything. RE4 kept to the roots with a new stlye while this one through it to being more of a Gears styled game (which RE4 is the one that influenced that game). Sadly, boss fights were pretty pathetic as well especially the Gigante boss fight.

Overall I enjoyed playing through the game and getting 1000 Gamerscore but this game has had me completely disappointed in other areas and even betrayed with the story and character scenarios that took place. But I'll make sure to not let my personal opinions about the story get too much into my scoring.

Thus for being a solid and great game in its own right with a few things missing and not living up to some areas of RE, I give it a 9.0.
