The company of choice that I've no interest in is Microsoft. They notoriously do this thing where they'll release an amazing hook, then follow up their line of products with shoddy service/hardware/software. These would be my opinions entirely of course.
The xbox 1 was an amazing system, it introduced the hardrive, and was generally a very welcome addition to the console market I'd say. Innovative and pushing forward in a good direction.
Then along came the xbox 360... from day one the console was LITTERED with hardware problems, I've personally seen my roomate go thru 3 of them now.
The first one overheated and MS gave him some excuse that he bought his before some "purchase date" and they couldent replace it.
The second was reading crackdown and had constant lockups, eventually, that overheated as well and they DID replace that one.
The third was reading Halo 3 and he had the console in the upright position on the floor (the only way that one would read a disk ;-; ) my friend sitting in a chair next to it accidentally tapped the top of it with his foot when the chair swiveled that direction, it knocked the 360 from upright, to its side, eating Halo 3 AND making the disk drive fail to open properly, it really wasn't an agressive bump -_-; So we replaced that one, and now were on our fourth.
I also HATE microsoft for putting out a buggy OS and NOT FOCUSING ON WHAT MADE THEM POPULAR IN THE FIRST PLACE. So far to my knowledge, MS has put out a Video game console to counter SONY, a Music player to counter Apple, a DVR product to counter TiVo, and now theyre working on some giant tablet o.O;; the problem is that none of these products were any good... all of them, notoriously littered with problems -_-; Now this one is pure opinion I understand BUT THEYRE OPERATING SYSTEM STILL SUCKS >< I don't know a single person who hasn't had problems with any windows operating system, their first product was affordable and easy to work with! (great ^_^) Then every OS after the fact... My god, the last competent OS from microsoft that I've had to work with was 98 -_- XP was almost there >< But man I've had my fair share of problems with that too.
It just seems to me that Microsoft isn't out to do the consumers ANY GOOD, they just seem to be trying to take control of popular markets and every product they release just makes me realize it more and more.
