Groovin' Blocks is a pretty benign Wii puzzle game that essentially starts with Columns and adds the need to match the beat for the high score.
It started as a WiiWare title in August 2008 for 800 points ($8 USD). Then an expanded version was released 13 months later (September 2009) for $20 USD.
Those buying on-line got the game earlier and cheaper. Those buying at retail got physical medium and more content.
This seems to strike the right balance between DD (digital distribution) and RD (retail distribution) -- even though the offereing is probably not on many gamers "interest" list.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
