How about no ?

Why do you care about companies well being ? They need to provide as good stuff as possible in order to get our hard earned cash, no need to give it to them.

Especially when $100 is crapload of money when you think about spending it only on PSN games.

had my ps3 for a month and i've already gone through $100 no problem.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Possibly, but a simpler system is probably preferable since online is still in its early main stream days.

No thank you!  I'll just pay my $30-40 a year for live.

I like what your saying and definately anyone who spends $100 on XBL deserves some free Gold membership.

I think a reward system is a great idea, but not in the way you used it. Reward players for their purchases on Live, or the Gamerscore (for example: A free movie download/stream) or a promo code for a XBLA game 800 points and under.

How about free online play? It worked for StarCraft for 11 years and counting, and that game still gets free updates, and is still better than every online game that has ever cost money.

No one is talking about one specific game here. Comparing Starcraft to the entire Xbox Live infrastructure is a bit off the mark, don't you think?

StarCraft > XBox Live.

You also can make a friends list and have cross-game chat between StarCraft, WarCraft, and Diablo.  Only thing missing is a gamerscore, but I guess that's what costs $50.

For now. But how much is it going to cost when StarCraft 2 and Battlenet 2.0 come out?
