Ehm you describe the gameplay and call it plot, which is actually the user generated story ... there is absolutely no plot in Tetris. Winning or loosing Tetris doesn't create plot. It creates a story for you to tell which happened inside the Tetris mechanics but Tetris on it's own have absolutely plot. Wich absoluteley eliminates the idea of Tetris beeing a interactive movie b/c movies have plots.
There is plot in some racing games ofc like F-Zero or the later NFS games.

The objective of the game is the plot. I said "even if it's very, very simple".
Bottom line: Heavy Rain is a game for people who want movie-like experiences.

Dude ... the objective of a game is not the plot .. in mario you have to get to the last level and jump over bowser but the plot is to rescue the princess and face your shadow and get the elexir(archetypes) ... one thing is plot/story element the other is gameplay element ... tetris lacks story/plot elements so it proves that games aren't interactive movies.
Now HR have massive plot/story elements but little gameplay created story elements like you cannot talk about HR like about something Tomb Raider. b/c your gameplay created story in TR would be: I jumped abouth some pits and shot some wolves where in HR it would be: i pressed a button and then a tape rolled on. Now the difference in HR is, that the tapes compared to a classic interactive movie are much much shorter so this is why i called it an advanced invteractive movie.
And ofc tetris generates "story" like : my block fall in and i was trapped but then i got some sticks ... yada yada yada. Every game generates story (history) through playing it but not every game has a story to tell ... if you understand what i mean.
