Forums - Microsoft - My 360 Died :-(

If you have had a repair on your 360 before, then your good. The 3 year warranty goes out from the last repair you have had.

I had RROD last november so I have just a little over 2 years left on my warranty now. Hopefully it dies a month before the warranty goes out so I can be covered for 3 more years :P

That sucks.

Mine's pretty much Dead since MS fixed the RROD by making in shut down after an hour of gameplay. I considered buying another one, but then decided against giving MS more money for such a defective system.

What are you talking about? O.O

???

I recently had my 360 replaced by Microsoft, after my first RROD. If I remember right, the website listed the warranty as "not covered" or something like that - but listed the repair cost as $0. So that warranty section would only refer to the one-year standard warranty, not the three-year extended RROD/E74 warrantly.

Just might want to make sure you're really out of warrantly. If you are covered, you could always get the new bundle anyway, and sell your old one for cheap after you get it replaced.

Get a new one. The peace of mind is worth it.

get a ps3 bro, you wont regret it u can buy a 250GB with uncharted 2

As dsister said earlier give the Support line a tug it is possible they will honour the repair I have heard of a number of people getting repairs beyond the 3 years if it is still a legit RROD error.

If they replace it great if not well you tried either way sell the bugger. Somebody else will make the mod. Then get yourself a new quiet 360 you will never look back.

^Yeah. My 360 broke late last year. The disc drive died and it wasn't covered in the warranty. After a few weeks, I opened the console and F'd it up. Instant RRoD. I cancelled Netflix and called MS to cancel XBox Live and they were like, "NO! Send it in!! We'll fix it!!".

I wound up buying a new one, anyway. Still, they would've fixed it so, you never know......

I've had 3 RROD alerts in the past 12 months, but each time, I pulled out the power cord, and plugged it back in, and my 360 was running again...anybody experience this? After I get my COD 360, I'm wondering what's the best way to get a RROD on a launch elite...anybody know?

Hard luck old boy. Things like this always feel so needlessly stressful.

If you get all four rings light red that means that there is failure in power (the power cord is not attached properly). Not the real RROD (3 red rings)
