When Preview Program members start receiving the Xbox 360 system update next week, one of the changes is that unauthorized Memory Units will no longer work with the Xbox 360. If you’ve moved your profile or saved games onto one to “back it up,” you’d better move it back onto an authorized Xbox 360 storage device prior to taking the update. If you continue to use an unauthorized Memory Unit after the update, you will not be able to access your stored profile or saved games.

So basically, you're forced to pay for the incredibly over priced microsoft proprietary hard drives that are exactly the same as a normal hard drive.

I'm sure they'll disguse this as a security update, but this is total bullshit.

They locked out my EyeToy as a camera and you can't put external hard drives in it. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY????? Okay I admit the EyeToy sucks, but why external HDs?

My Intercooler bricked my console
My 3rd party memory card caused my Hard drive to crash

No, it's not a good thing. This is only a move to make more money off suckers purchasing hard drives for 3-4 times their worth.

Did you even read my post? If I had used a Microsoft memory card then I wouldn't have lost my hard drive. Or they would have at least payed ofr it. You get what you pay for
