Hey guys, I know there is an offical thread, but i had a question and I figure it'll probably be useful to many of you. Lock/delete the thread after its answered. I'd go to another forum but the people there are assholes.

I made a wanderer, Beat 1-1, 1-2, 2-1 and 3-1, enjoying it a lot. Anyway, I just got the spell Total Protection "Warding" In the NA version.

I Cant use it because my faith is only 10.
As someone who really just likes to melee, how important is this spell? it seems to be absolutely key.

Should i rough through it, invest the 16 points into Fatih and get it? or should I spend my stockpile of souls on other stats like I had planned?

currently my stats are 15 VIT 18 endurance 18 str 18 dex 15 luck 10 faith 10 magic 10 intelligence.

Using +6 Falchion going to upgrade it to that really good Long slashing blade or whatever when I can.

Armor: I alternate between fluted and the really light assassins set.

Shield: +5 Steel Shield, will replace with a better one soon.

warding doesn't depend on faith.. its magic for total warding. Plus you need the intellegence to hold to slots. That being said its important for any player. the amount of damage it it takes from you is a real benefit to any player. You can't use that soul for anything else anyway so they make it an easy choice

from your stats you won't be able to cast it till you get your intell up

you would only need to invest about 6 points in your intell you actually have the slots and MP to cast. the effectiveness depends on your magic though since it is a magic spell and not faith based

Oh. Should i get it NOW or should i wait till later? I have enough MP to cast it.

you should get it as soon as you can. I would grind for those 2 extra slots that spell saved me so many times. Im about 30 hours n at level 74 and I been using that spell since I beat 1-2 at the beginning of the game.
