Jesus do you genuinely think people in the real world actually give a tiny shit about console wars and all that crap? Can you really be that deluded?

I just find it odd that I hear from a quite number of people bad things about best buy, etc. (they misinform new buyers, basically)

If I lived in the US, I would go see for myself if this is true or not.

While I haven't worked at Best Buy retail sales, they're probably commisioned so Best Buy workers would probably bend the truth to make better sales numbers.

Thing is, the people usually say the Best Buy employees spread anti-PS3 propaganda. So I don't know what to make of this...

I'd investigate this immediately to see if it was true or not. If it was true, I'd record the conversation, and sue them.

I dont think you can sue them, but Sony can if they have proof that they talk against Sony reputation with false information. But dont forget that a big part of the role of a salesman is to depending on customers needs, restrict customer choices to only 1 machine by enphasing the pro and con the customers does or doesnt want. So I can sell a Bosch or Miele appliance to someone and then sell a frigidaire appliance to someone else and make the Frigidaire one looks better at the eyes of the consumer (while Frigidaire is one of the worst brand, bosch/miele the best one). The important is just to sell the right thing to the right person, and to not give false information in order to sell another product. In the past (2 years ago) I can see many reason why someone would suggest getting an Xbox 360 over PS3 without lying about the PS3.

In the video I posted. The guy said LBP is coming to Xbox 360 to the woman (if he's telling the truth), which changed her mind about buying a PS3. That is completely false, and he could easily be sued for spreading false info.

Well maybe it wasnt volunteer, hopefully you cannot get sued because you made an error at your job. Do you work? If yes, imagine you give a false information to someone, but its an error from your part because theres a new product. The customer would sue you?!?  The women in question should be able to have an exchange tho since the clerk made an error. Or sue the company, but definitively not the employee.

No I don't work. And yeah, I meant the company if they're unwilling to do something about the employees. That was my point. I'm not saying the OP is correct, he's just being paranoid. But if I was ripped off like what the guy in the video claims (IF he's telling the truth), I know I won't let such things pass. Seriously, what's so immature about that? If it was just about me saying I'd sue the "man", then I made a mistake, I meant the company.

Well i live in the UK and the game doesnt come out till Friday

however a shop in a city near me had the game early and i sore it and was like AHHH, so i rang a few of my mates and asked them if they wanted me to pick up a copy for the early, they all said yes lol

so i went to the till with 3 copys of the game, 3 guys where working and they where not happy i was buying them.

infact one guy gave me a dirty look and turned around. the only thing i heard from them was put your card in there! bad customer service and such blatent 360 fanboys it was ridiculous!

anyway i have been playing the game and am on the 5th chapter and all i can say is WOW! i hope this game gets he sales it deserves

so:

have you guys ever had this sort of thing in a games shop?

and what do you think the first week sales will be for Uncharted 2? i think 600,000  (hope it does sooo much more)

READ BEFORE YOU POST:                                                                                                                                                                                                     I know they where 360 fans as everytime i have been in there i have heard them talking about 360 so many times

when call of Duty World at war came out one  was playing the game behind the counter (on a 360 btw) and some guy was standing at the till asking about it and i heard them say '360 has better controlls for COD, it doenst work on playstation basicaly' it was something like that anyway WTF

ALSO: there where 4 of us in the shop with me and all of us where looking at the game and there where about 20 copys so when i went to the till with 3 it looked as if 3 of us were getting it

I don't come to VGChartz to read crap like this.

OP grow up.

What you do in that situation is bring it back to the shop and complain. You don't sue for "malpractice". First of all because that doesn't make any sense (google it), and second because you can't sue a min wage worker for being ignorant.

Hence why I said if the managers don't do anything about it, I'll sue the company. That's what I meant all along. I just chose the wrong words. Trust me, I know better than to sue one random man for talking rubbish.

The best bit of this game is the bit at the end that says thank you BUNGIE

I bought mine for 45 euro in HMV, and the man behind the counter was very polite to me : )

I had a friend come round to my place once and he was blown away by Gears Of War.  His fanboy mates had convinced him that the 360 graphics weren't much better than the PS2 and the PS3 was light years ahead hence why he bought one.  Fair play to him as he loved MGS4 but he doesn't listen to the opinions of those friends anymore.  There is plenty of evidence of biased opinions out there and certainly more in the Sony and Nintendo camp given they have a bigger fanbase.  This is why you do your own research and base your decisions from a educated standpoint rather than blindly trust one source of information.
