So basically through your amazing skills in deductive reasoning you concluded they were Xbox fanboys because you recieved bad customer service? Amazing you are not in charge of the CIA with your ability to read people so easily.

Actually don't answer my question about the demographic. By reading through these comments I now understand its teenagers and children who own the PS3. You are going to sue someone cause they spread false information of a video game? Is that what the youth of today has come to? Someone is a "big meanie" to you so you tell mommy and you can sue them?

If store workers are misleading purchasers with blatant lies, should we just remain idle and get ripped off? I don't know if all these claims are true or not, since I don't live in the US, but it's malpractice if it's true. Seriously, would you be ok with it if you got tricked like that?

Oh yeah, and if you want to make a point, kindly do it in a non-vitriolic manner. I'm just throwing in my $0.02. And yes, I also admit I don't know too much about taking legal action, so go ahead, show me how it's immature to make such claims.

Edit: Oh, and a few forum posts do not reflect the majority of PS3 owners. But go ahead, enlighten me on your point of view.

Edit 2: The OP is indeed paranoid. But you're no different. I said I'd do this regardless of console, but you assumed I'm a PS3 fanboy. Pot calling the kettle black? Do tell.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Jesus do you genuinely think people in the real world actually give a tiny shit about console wars and all that crap? Can you really be that deluded?

I just find it odd that I hear from a quite number of people bad things about best buy, etc. (they misinform new buyers, basically)

If I lived in the US, I would go see for myself if this is true or not.

While I haven't worked at Best Buy retail sales, they're probably commisioned so Best Buy workers would probably bend the truth to make better sales numbers.

Thing is, the people usually say the Best Buy employees spread anti-PS3 propaganda. So I don't know what to make of this...

I'd investigate this immediately to see if it was true or not. If it was true, I'd record the conversation, and sue them.

I dont think you can sue them, but Sony can if they have proof that they talk against Sony reputation with false information. But dont forget that a big part of the role of a salesman is to depending on customers needs, restrict customer choices to only 1 machine by enphasing the pro and con the customers does or doesnt want. So I can sell a Bosch or Miele appliance to someone and then sell a frigidaire appliance to someone else and make the Frigidaire one looks better at the eyes of the consumer (while Frigidaire is one of the worst brand, bosch/miele the best one). The important is just to sell the right thing to the right person, and to not give false information in order to sell another product. In the past (2 years ago) I can see many reason why someone would suggest getting an Xbox 360 over PS3 without lying about the PS3.

In the video I posted. The guy said LBP is coming to Xbox 360 to the woman (if he's telling the truth), which changed her mind about buying a PS3. That is completely false, and he could easily be sued for spreading false info.

Well maybe it wasnt volunteer, hopefully you cannot get sued because you made an error at your job. Do you work? If yes, imagine you give a false information to someone, but its an error from your part because theres a new product. The customer would sue you?!?  The women in question should be able to have an exchange tho since the clerk made an error. Or sue the company, but definitively not the employee.

when i got my ps3 about a month after launch.....the guy at eb games was shocked i came in and said "can i get a ps3 plz?" LOL he's like "r u serious?" im like "what's wrong" mans like "don't waste ur money on that... 360 is where its at" im like "its cool yo can i just get the ps3...." and then he brought it out smiling.....i payed "$599.99" :/ and ppl complain nowadays da ps3 is still too high......and canada raised its price to $649.99 at that time...eb games was the only one selling it for $599.99

Like you I dont agree with all the sueing and thinking that the person was a xbox fanboy because he didnt gave good customer service. But something sure is that PS3 has the oldest player average because the console was and is the most expensive. So for one, you need the money because most parents will not buy the most expensive one or will buy a Wii. If you have money mean that you work, so prolly are 16 or more. Other thing is that, if your willing to pay that price for a PS3 mean that you have possibly enjoy the PS2 before. If I remember well sony says that the average on PSN was 27 years old. The average will prolly get lower as the console become cheaper, it should reflect the Xbox one since the 2 console is aiming mostly at the same audience.

lol.
