It is in fact better than a lot of the engines out there but we won't for sure know just watching from this video...

Looks mighty impressive. Certainly looks to be the new standard in high quality graphics/physics multiplat game development.

Not to be an asshole, but iv heard/seen alot of amazing game engine, but no game has used them yet.

That's because once the engine is there someone has to take it and spend time making a game with it - ergo no games will likely surface with this engine sometime soon.

This engine is designed to get Crytek onto consoles, support latter half of gen titles and put them in place to support incoming graphics cards/techniques over the coming years at the same time.

I hope it does get more use than before, but the challenge is so many devs have Unreal experience I think they lean towards what they know vs something new, even if that something new may be better.

I guess as a minimum we'll get whatver Crytek develop themselves for PC/consoles.

Too bad then that the competition's list of games makes this engine look silly. I hope they will be able to better compete against Unreal Engine 3 with this new CryEngine. Competition is good for us and so far there wasn't much of it.

relly? Thought the animations on the close up face was incredible. The lady running down the slope has NEVER been done properly like that before EVER. Running down slope gradiants always caused problems. Thats the first time Ive witnessed a gmae characters feet perfectly going down a gradiant with no sliding feet or in the air feet. They followed the gradiant with the actual feet, very good animation to me.

Bethesda should bought them - imagine next TES or Fallout with CryEngine 3.
