Forums - General - South Africa Beat England 15-6 To Win The 2007 Rugby World Cup

I think the final proves it's time for rugby to shuffle some rules around, maybe 2 points for a penalty and 1 for a field goal. I love rugby, but the lack of try scoring from all times (particularly england) pretty much ruined the world cup. Still, nice to see that South Africa out kicked johny...

Can't agree more.

Less points for a penalty, more for a try.

Its become an overly technical game, where the ref has far too much influence over the final decision. The fact that two penalties score more than a single (unconverted) try says it all.
