It's just a placeholder date by Metacritic, there hasn't been any official news on a release date yet.
I am a beautiful gaming PC and i still havnt even got the slightest bit of interest in this game. I couldnt even tell you what its about. I just see lots of PC and 360 owners banging on about it. The 360 owners are like hope this comes to the 360. PC gamers are like this needs to hurry up and release

And I can tell you haven't played Diablo II. If you had, you'd know why this is a big deal.

Metacritic doesn't add games until at most a month before release.
If it happens then great, but I'm not holding my breath until I get an official word from Blizzard.
That would be sweet! Diablo 3 looks like a pretty good game.

They haven't even announced the fifth class to the game....and Blizzard stated at Blizzcon that the fifth class won't get announced till sometime in 2010. You have a ways to go.
