Well as multiplayer goes the reviews seem to imply there is better out there. But as it is I play EXTREMELY little online multiplayer on any console. I doubt a brilliant and completely revolutionary multiplayer would sway me, so a very good but non-innovative one certainly wont.
But too each their own, a lot of people will love multiplayer.

I heard that this game is 30% longer then the 1st. The 1st game took me about 15hrs to finish once while collecting all the relics, then I finished it 2 more times. I consider that great value. Heck, I even would like to finish it again.
For me, renting games is really for average games that I am curious to try out. U2 is going to sit very nicely in my collection.

It used to be the same for me, but these days I am extremely time poor. I simply do not play average games.
I rent the outstanding short ones, I buy the outstanding long or replayable ones. To explain this, I purchased Gears of War 2. Whilst of similar length to Uncharted 2, it has local co-op so I replayed it with my brother, with friends etc.

I understand. I too buy far less then I used to. Now I focus on amazing games like Uncharted 2, Batman AA, Gears, the Metroid Primes & Zeldas, Demon's Souls Dragon Age, God of War 3, etc, etc. These kinder games stand proud in my collecton.
Does't U2 have a co-op mode, too? And from what I've played the multiplayer is sweet.

U2 has a co-op mode?
I'll have to look into that. I was under the impression it did not. But if it has local co-op I may have to reconsider my rental plans.

Mine had just been dispatched today and due to mail strikes (damn them) i paid for next day delivery so here's hoping it will be here tomorrow!!
