i have a great time with my 360 even though i bought it few months ago and buy games that have been on a market for a few months(they are cheaper). from all 2009 games i got only Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box, Race Pro, Fear 2 and Batman Arkham Asylum, but i'll be picking up Forza 3, Operation Flashpoint 2 and Brutal Legend. but i picked up crapload of good 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 games that i've been having fun with. eventhough i play only singleplayer and splitscreen, i will play those games probably until may2010 or even longer before i will finish them all.
i still will be picking up in 2010 asston of older games and those released in 2009-2010 and i'm very picky since i can't rent any games(there's no rentals) and used/older games still are very price. there's PGR4, Borderlands, Assassins Creed 2, Resident Evil 5, Fallout 3, Saboteur, MagnaCarta 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Red Faction: Guerrilla and those are only titles i know i will be getting no matter what and will be released before 2010(or already were released). i won't even list you 2010 list since there's another load of games i'm interested in.
saying that ps3 had a better year in 2009 is a joke cause what there is beside Infamous, Killzone 2(if you're not into online shooter you can scratch it of this list), Demon Soul's(europeans got shafted since we won't be getting this game at all) and Uncharted 2? nothing since rest is just multiplatform.

You're a funny guy.
Sure, if you don't like certain games, you can scratch them off any list, but the PS3 has had a pretty good year regardless of taste. In fact, I feel kinda spoilt for choice when it comes to PS3 purchases (not just console exclusives, but that's all I'll mention here since it's what you were referring to). Not only is the BD side of things very healthy across the genres -- Killzone 2, Infamous, Demon's Souls and MLB: The Show (I can import -- PS3 is region free), EyePet, Uncharted 2, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and the like -- but the PSN has had some great games as well -- Comet Crash, Flower, WipEout HD Fury, Trine, Shatter, amongst others I forget off the top of my head.
Sure, not all the titles may appeal, but there is something in there for most people, especially once you add the multi-plat goodness to the list, it's been a really awesome year for PS3 peeps. Well, for me, at least.
