Forums - Microsoft - I am quite dissapointed this year.

The plain truth guys, is that a REAL gamer, either he owns 360 or PS3 or both, has gone bankrupt this year.
This whining of yours is unbearable.
The OP starts his claim sayin' that a game that got almost 90 in metacritic bored him to hell and he hasn't passed 20% yet.
Ok then, we will order MS to make exclusives ONLY ACCORDING to the whining yo-john.!
The coming storm of multiplats and some console exclusives DOESN'T give you the right to whine anymore.
A Infamous more and an AAA exclusive (that will be balanced next year with SC, Alan Wake and ME2) doesnt make your comments justice. You are here to justify your dislike for 360. Fine!

And let me ask you... Why is everybody forgetting about Episodes from Liberty City, that is almost a new f***in game?
Or it isn't?

ME2 is being rumoured as multi-platform. Though it is still early and at the rumour level. That would be an interesting game to see on the PS3.

Mass Effect is not just interesting...It's probably the game i enjoyed the most this generation...I think it's very difficult coming to PS3 though..

Microsoft needs to stop paying for timed exclusives and start using their deep pockets to build up their own first and second party studios.

i have a great time with my 360 even though i bought it few months ago and buy games that have been on a market for a few months(they are cheaper).
from all 2009 games i got only Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box, Race Pro, Fear 2 and Batman Arkham Asylum, but i'll be picking up Forza 3, Operation Flashpoint 2 and Brutal Legend. but i picked up crapload of good 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 games that i've been having fun with. eventhough i play only singleplayer and splitscreen, i will play those games probably until may2010 or even longer before i will finish them all.

i still will be picking up in 2010 asston of older games and those released in 2009-2010 and i'm very picky since i can't rent any games(there's no rentals) and used/older games still are very price. there's PGR4, Borderlands, Assassins Creed 2, Resident Evil 5, Fallout 3, Saboteur, MagnaCarta 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Red Faction: Guerrilla and those are only titles i know i will be getting no matter what and will be released before 2010(or already were released).
i won't even list you 2010 list since there's another load of games i'm interested in.

saying that ps3 had a better year in 2009 is a joke cause what there is beside Infamous, Killzone 2(if you're not into online shooter you can scratch it of this list), Demon Soul's(europeans got shafted since we won't be getting this game at all) and Uncharted 2? nothing since rest is just multiplatform.

^^Actually I think that the PS3 definitely has the better games this year.  At the beginning of this year I thought they were pretty even.

@ epinefridis--What the hell is your deal?  I'm just stating my opinions of what my thoughts were this year, nothing more.

Fact is a real gamer likes whatever games he likes, not what other people like.  I play at least a couple hours of 360 a day, and have played almost 100 360 games alone.  How am I not a real gamer?

Why is it a joke, it's a fact Ps3 has had a better line up in 2009 than the 360 :S

Edit* Well its certainly had a broader line up to suit more types of gamers

During 2008 and the beginning of this year I though that this year was gonna be the second best year for games.

The 360 exclusives that did come out were supposed to be very good, but most disappointed me in some way.

There's still hope for the rest of the year though since I'm still looking forward too F3, Borderlands, and Assassins Creed 2, but overall this has been one hell of a disappointing year!

To me you seem to be both very hard to please or you wait anixously for a game so that when you get it, it lets you down because it wasnt worth the wait. Or maybe Im just easy to please as most of the games you said you were disappointed by I couldnt find a fault with.

Also, surprised you havent mentioned Episodes from Liberty City/The Ballad of Gay Tony. I doubt you'll be disappointed by that

You're a funny guy.

Sure, if you don't like certain games, you can scratch them off any list, but the PS3 has had a pretty good year regardless of taste. In fact, I feel kinda spoilt for choice when it comes to PS3 purchases (not just console exclusives, but that's all I'll mention here since it's what you were referring to). Not only is the BD side of things very healthy across the genres -- Killzone 2, Infamous, Demon's Souls and MLB: The Show (I can import -- PS3 is region free), EyePet, Uncharted 2, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and the like -- but the PSN has had some great games as well -- Comet Crash, Flower, WipEout HD Fury, Trine, Shatter, amongst others I forget off the top of my head.

Sure, not all the titles may appeal, but there is something in there for most people, especially once you add the multi-plat goodness to the list, it's been a really awesome year for PS3 peeps. Well, for me, at least.

Wow that's a library definitely not worth scoffing about! Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 got metacritic ratings in the 90's; Infamous and Demon's Soul's are also hot on metacritic. Besides ratings however, they are all great games to play. You might be happy with the multi-plats and older releases on the 360 - most others however are happy with the new exclusives and forthcoming ones on the PS3.

Don't forget that 2010 will also have GT5, GoW3, MAG, Heavy Rain, although I'm sure that you will say this is not much unless you like racing, violence, shooters or creative games :)
