Forums - Sony - Blaze announces 'Wii style' Motion Freedom 3D controller for PS3

We were fairly impressed by Blaze's knack for impressive but questionably useful gadgets when it introduced a three-cart contraption for the DSi last month, but it looks like it's truly outdone itself with its latest peripheral. While it's possible that it's the result of some miscommunication or a bet taken to its limits, it does appear that the company is indeed set to release a controller that can only be described as a Wiimote for the PlayStation 3. Of course, it's still a bit light on specifics, but Blaze says its so-called Motion Freedom 3D Controller will open up "unthinkable gaming possibilities," and let you "become one" with games like Sega Tennis and Tiger Woods Golf. It's even been "ergonomically designed from the ground up." How can you possibly go wrong?

I see lawsuits coming on the way

...where's the analog stick? They should have learned from RE5AE that ripping off half the wii combination is a poor idea.

The company's page, http://www.blazeeurope.com/ps3/blaze-ps3-motion-freedom-3d-controller/prod_109.html

The BLAZE PS3 Motion Freedom 3D Controller has been ergonomically designed from the ground up to give superior gaming comfort when the going gets tough, ensuring you are in complete control no matter how full-on the game play gets!

From the ground up... Like me photocopying your homework and claimed mine to be the original copy?

I know I've seen that somewhere...hm...

Do they know that the D-Pad design that they've used is patented by Nintendo? If this is for 3D motion then why do they have so many buttons towards the bottom of the controller? People would just use the DS3 is they want a classic controller.

Stupid company is stupid.

Right below the d-pad ?

It wont work with sonys motion controlled games though so it's a pretty useless device.

Check out my game about moles ^

That's a button below the D-Pad Staude, not an analog stick.. look at the second picture, there is no stick coming out of the controller.

That's one weird ass button I'm going with analogue. Even if it's a inwards one within the controller.

I'm wondering how it maps movements ?

Becouse it has to translate movements somehow into single or dual analog type moves.
