I'm not trying to necro or anything, but I just beat Emerald Weapon as well.
With two characters having Mime, one W-Summoning Knights of the Round, Quadra Magic linked with Demi, and a couple of revives, I beat the Underwater beast.
Now, I can sleep knowing that I never have to pick up FF7 again.
