but its safer...if u cast PROTECT and AURA...u can cut OMEGA's damage by 50%( even the laser) and have a 50% chance at limits + somebody havin full RECOVERY....unstopable

It's safer strategy it's true ;) But it's also a slower one, I rather do it with a bit more high risk - high payoff strategy.

When I beat Ruby the Hades Summon was my best friend. It will give even the powerful weapons stop, silence, and a few other things.
As always start with two characters dead so he'll bury his claws, the W-Summon Hades and Phoenix to revive everyone. You should get another turn before his stop wears off, so you can set up your combo to finish him. I did W-Summon Hades (to make sure he always stays stopped) then Knights of the Round, then Mime until he's dead. I beat him this way without taking a single point of damage.
edit: I just read lestatdark's comment above about not using KoTR on Ruby, but I never had him counter me with Ultima, does he have to wake up first, then use it? Also, having the entire party revived would be bad news if he had woken up, but I wanted the experience and the AP for everybody and their materia.

goodness, that is long! and wow thats the most epic thing i've ever seen on PSOne. the graphics between 8 and 7 are actually disturbing. :/

guys in RUBY weapon fight...its easier just to keep 1 character..no revive the other 2
@Seraphic
Then you should see the Ark summon of FFIX or the Doomsday magic of Vivi ;) Those are the best graphics that the PSX has ever seen.
@De85
Didn't knew that Hades actually worked with him, I thought he was invulnerable to every status effect except paralyze. Got to try it then ;)

I like to revive them for the experience/AP. My strategy involves stopping/paralyzing him so he can't ever really do anything about it.

I didn't expect it to work when I first tried it, but when he stopped moving I figured I was onto something. With proper equipment the weapons really aren't that hard.

I love threads like this...too bad FF10 and FF12 had easy as hell Super bosses
