What level were you when you defeated him? He's tough, but I managed to beat him in one go with my level 60 party ;) Oh, be prepared, you're almost entering the dreaded time frame.

Plus, level up way more in the next dungeon, things are going to get extremely tough from now on.

I used mainly Abaddon for almighty spells and Uriel for healing ;). Skadi was good to, but she has some major weaknesses for this part of the game. Soma's are rare to come by, I only got like three in the whole game on the dungeons, plus 2 If i'm not mistaken, from a quest.

To get Mara, you'll have to be at level 62, and you'll need Justice Throne, Sun Jatayu and Death White Rider.
Trumpeter on the other hand, you'll need to be at level 67, not 63 as I said before, sorry. He's one of the exclusive fusions, the Hexagonal fusion, and he needs these personas exclusively

Death Matador x Death White Rider x Hierophant Daisoujou x Emperor Pabilsag x Hangedman Taown x Tower Tao Tie

Jatayu is level 61, so you'll have to wait just a little while ;) Trumpeter is indeed a pain, but you'll need him to complete margaret's requests. Also, at level 71, he learns the best spell to use against the final boss of the game, Debilitate ;) So he's worth it, in my opinion.

The best persona to me was indeed Helel. He can learn Megadioalon and Divine Justice, both do Massive Almighty Damage, plus, you can Fuse inherance all the 4-dyne elemental spells, debilitate and almost all physical attacks, plus he has tons of resistances and even null damage.

Here's my notepad recipe for the Ultimate Helel, in my opinion.

Moon Girimehkala (Lv56: Repel Physical) x Hermit Nebiros x Tower Masakado > Judgement Michael (Reflect Physical)

Use the above Michael to make Judgement Lucifer. Level up so that it has learned Mind Charge, Spell Master, and Victory Cry.

Judgement Lucifer x Hermit Arahabaki > Star Helel (Repel Physical, Mind Charge, Spell Master, and Victory Cry)

Bear in mind that to fuse Helel, you'll need to be at level 87, which you'll easily reach in the final dungeon. The biggest drawback of my strategy is that Lucifer requires you to be at level 93, you can just fuse a Magician Mada and Moon Baal Zebul to get a basic Helel.

Helel is an all around better persona, with lots more attacking skills and more resistances, as Lucifer even has weaknesses, especially against Wind.

Well, Magician Mada and Moon Baal Zebul are obtained if you max the corresponding Social Link, as Helel can only be obtained by maxing the Star link, which is automatical.

For the ultimate Helel, the first three personas are normally obtained through fusion, Lucifer needs max Judgment, which is automatical if you go the True ending route, and max Hermit for arahabaki

Still, don't worry, the game's not that demanding. I beat the true final boss with Siegfried as my main Persona, you won't need Helel or Lucifer

Told you things would pick up in the end =) Yes that scene in the hospital really got to me, after all the deaths, that one I wasn't expecting at all, I was so glad that it turned out ok in the end.

I also checked a FAQ, after my third try, mainly because I was always getting one question wrong. I knew i needed to be mindful of all that happened and that he couldn't be the one who started it all.

You'll be in for a surprise once you find out the real culprit.

You should do margaret's requests now, just to be safe. See I told you, you'd be in a surprise in the end, but the biggest surprises are yet to come ;)

That's a good Maxed Social Link ratio for your first playthrough. Also try to level up a bit in Magatsu Inaba, up until 81, 82.
