Impressions
Shadowblind
'Finished the game, need to write up my review soon...but I can give short impressions on this site, so:
The graphics are awesome. The art style is unique, badass, and more interesting then every JRPG I've ever played combined. Brutal, metal, desolate landscapes and some of the wackiest enemies ever. Technically, it only has some pop-in. But if you get your love on with uber-realistic graphics, you'll hate every bit of this game's look. Just goes to show that the best graphics aren't neccesarily the most realistic. Tons ofstandoutish environments.
The music is...I mean come on, its a game based on heavy metal, they didn't skimp on anything here. great tracks, great artists, though personally I couldve used some more Rob Zombie in there :P
The story isn't Tim's best. Even then, its still pretty good. The interactions, plotline and decor in the game make you almost forget that they're world is different; its so engrossing that youll think its natural to live in a hellish death-world. Still, the game is short--very, very short, even by action game standards. Lots of side quests to do, but they mostly consist of killing hoards of enemies or racing, not much else.
The gameplay took me a little bit to get entirely used to, but its really something special. You play it like a 3D action beat-em-up, but once you get your stadium it turns into a beat-em-up RTS game. Personally I wouldn't have made the game an RTS based on how it's premise plays out, but it was done exceedingly well. Many classes to choose from (even the broken Fire Barron's class in multiplayer) many ways to use strategy. The controls aren't as intuitive as say Halo Wars, but the game isn't that large of scale either. At the same time the battles feel large enough to feel like...battles. And the Deuce is awesome. Very awesome.
Mmhmm.'

Playstation Universe- 9.5/10 http://www.psu.com/Brutal-Legend-Review--a008272-p0.php
The world of Brutal Legend is so epic and expansive that you can spend a lot of time just enjoying the obscure views, but you’ll be far too busy playing through the storyline. It’s truly an experience worth living, at least once. We certainly hope a sequel is considered, and we wouldn't be at all surprised if Brutal Legend ultimately earned itself a place among one of the best games of 2009.
Ign.com- 9.0/10 http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/103/1033952p1.html
Brutal Legend is a tour de force that wraps up humor, music, and clever gameplay into one highly polished package. You haven't played a game quite like this before and won't want to miss it.

Brütal Legend proves that Tim Schafer and the Double Fine crew can weave an entertaining experience that rises above its flaws.
Eurogamer- 8/10 http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/brutal-legend-review?page=1
In this case, Schafer, Double Fine, and Black haven't just created a story about roadies: they've become them, scuttling about energetically, heads down and minds focused, as they pull a handful of simple props together in order to put on an amazing show.
Next to Uncharted 2, the natural charm of Black in particular suggests that this Christmas is, if nothing else, a great time for genuine videogame characters: rounded, personable leads who are distinctly superior to the usual throngs of cybermen and super-vixens.
Game Informer- 8/10,8.25/10 http://gameinformer.com/games/brutal_legend/b/xbox360/archive/2009/10/13/review.aspx
Double Fine brings metal album covers to life, delivering the most memorable art direction of the year.
A must-play for any fan of metal or Tim Schafer.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
