No it doesn't don't freaking lie. installing the game only solves some of the problems. The framerate drops, glitches and long loading times are still heavily felt throughout the game

The almost total removal of the texture load after the level starts... standard loading being reduced significantly... less frame rate issues caused from said texture loading issue... I think most of the major problems that people have about the game are helped along a fair bit... the elevator rides are coded in so that not something that can be changed outside of patching and that's rather pointless for the few who actually bother to install it.
