I think what's funnier is the republican whining over the prize being awarded to Obama, even if you don't think he deserves it, trying to criticize him for receiving an award he wasn't even trying to get just makes them seem petty and without class.

What about the 10's of millions of Democrats that are pissed off about it?

Pissed off about the GOP's lack of class, I don't see anything wrong about it, why shouldn't they be upset that the GOP is playing partisan politics at a time when Americans should be working together to solve the problems we continue to have.  The GOP has been the party of No long enough.

@Kasz216:  Can't really fault him his money, I mean he earned it with his books, at least he didn't just rely on his daddy's money

Fault who, who's money?

I'm just saying... giving away the money isn't going to effect him much... and in all reality was the right move for him.

Hell, as fucked up as the country is politically he likely would of been criticized had he NOT giving the money away.

No, pissed off that Obama won this award.

Thinking it's wrong to give Obama this award, goes across party lines. Everyone thinks he has not done enough, not just the GOP.

I found a good reason for his Nobel: he's overshadowing Hillary Clinton so much, that he'll ensure she won't be the first US female president. All Americans and the whole world too should thank him for this! God, even naming her gives me the shivers, she's scarier than Condoleeza!!!

Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian")

To add to this ...

I don’t think the criticism about "Obama winning the Nobel Peace Price" is considered a negative against Obama as much as it is being held against "The Cult of Obama" and the Nobel Committee. I think it is fairly safe to say that (pretty much) every one who is not completely "In the Tank" for Obama doesn't believe that Obama has done enough to earn the Nobel Peace Prize, and that the selection of Obama at this point in his presidency is bizarre (at best).

What I would honestly suggest to most people who have envisioned Obama as this messianic figure who is infallible and completely deserving of all of this (bizarre) praise is to regularly imagine Obama on the toilet. It is nearly impossible for someone to maintain an image of someone as being super-human while imagining them doing the most ordinary and disgusting tasks that all humans do.

Most normal Americans aren't pissed off that Obama won the award, mostly its republicans who seem pissed, sorry, the rest of us just feel that he doesn't deserve it yet, but aren't upset about it, just surprised

I'd like to think a lot of democrats wouldn't be so myopic and ignorant of the outside world.

If you can't be mad about REAL candidates not winning an award who have accomplished and gone through so much more... it really just reflects negativly on you not being able to look past your own country and self interests.

No... He has done nothing and the economy is still shit. If you lost your job or had somebody in your family lose their job, you'd know how pissed off some people are.

And those people mad mean nothing since this prize has nothing to do with that.
