You obviously have never played a 3d0 before have you?  The game system was amazing it just had a beast of a price tag.  Worse than the ps3 for its day.  Thats the only thing that kept it from being huge, well that and lack of 3rd party support brought on by the high price tag.

Which is cooler, hating on Halo or hating on Natal? Either will get you instant cred on internetz forumz.

OT: I can't believe that Popular Mechanics is so positive on this, this is the first time I've felt that this thing is really legit. I'm so buying this. The US press bashes Microsoft all the time.  Antitrust articles, job losses, Zune sales, Vista issues, Xbox 360 RRoD, etc.  What you say has zero factual merit and seems fueled by nature of the fact you are a PS3 fanboy.

So what's the point of all of this completely unscientific observation? Just because VGC community thinks something will fail or be huge in line with or in spite of media and consumer interest doesn't mean it will happen.

Excitement for Natal in the gaming AND mainstream media is a sign that bodes quite well for its success. Game developers showing excitement all over the world bodes well also.

So, if you really feel its so important, continue to make snide comments and remarks about how this will fail. Continue to give your hypothetical analysis of the technology, responsiveness and capabilities. Regardless, the typical trend shows that you are a minority and when the minority goes against popular and consumer interest ...

I would not say that the VGC Community consider Natal will fail, it just appears that way due to the large numbers of PS3 supporters and possibly Wii although it does always seem to be PS3 supporters for the most part.

No amount of positive FM3 or Natal press or reviews will prevent them picking out one tiny negative commment, peddling it, exagerating it and ultimately misrepresenting it.

It is unfortunate but every positive Microsoft based thread is matched with an unequal and opposite reaction. That is the science of VGC.

The same could be said about 360 or Wii fanboys who attack PS3 threads.

Unfortunately I think you hit the nail on the head.  Too bad people have to attack something with so much potential just because they support the opposite console.  It would be about like me saying that Uncharted 2 is a POS just because I sold my PS3.  Sadly some people are like that.
