Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

You can still see some inaccuracy in the steering. I've noticed Natal doesn't seem to do very well with loose clothing, so having a coat and a tie isn't helping this guy out. It shouldn't be a problem for actual users (who wants to move around actively in a suit, anyway?), but it doesn't do Natal any favours at trade shows and the like. People who like wearing sweaters and loose pants might find this frustrating, I suppose.

Some people have some small imagination...Why don't you DO this...what WOULD you like to have a motion controller for, because there is ALOT of stuff I would love to have one for...like ducking and jumping in an FPS...or picking around corners...geeesh. If there's is absolutely no reason you can think of to have a motion controller...GREAT...move along, since Natal isn't for you.

That looked so awkward. Did you see how much he was turning that "wheel" to get response? Ouch. I was really hoping this would be cool. Now I see that MS just wants to steal your money. Oh well.

Unless Natal ships with a mocap suit, it seems to me that the hardware will have a lot of work on it's hands trying to figure out what data to ignore.
Then again, I don't know a whole bunch about how MS is going to implement this or what games will actually use it...
If they can pull it off - and I'm sure they can - this will become the new definition of awesome.

Proud Sony Rear Admiral

I think Natal technology should make us all happy, because its irruption means that things are changing since the Wii came up in the first place. But I don't see Microsoft's peripheral overtaking the Wii anytime soon. I am really excited to see what happens on a future console generation.
On the other hand, as the article points out, Natal itself won't be enjoyable if some issues are not considered. I think Microsoft will need to incorporate some other device with bottons and a pad, whether they like it or not. I think the best possible combination would be in between the Wiimote+nunchuck and Natal. Something pretty similar to Sony's solution.

Im with Maxwell , its gonna hurt your arms after a while and you'll look like an asshole doing it.

Driving a car s tiring obviously you have a wheel to take some of the weight but unless you intend to complete some of the endurance races in FM3 I suspect this will ultimately prove a non issue as for the asshole bit you obviously have not seen people waggling.

I am beginning to think we should have an invite only to the Xbox forum as every post in particular Natal and FM3 just generates such benial responses and guess what most have a very vested interest in one particular console.

Can you step away from your little black box for just a moment and consider some of the potential.

People really don't understand the appeal of Natal?

There have been many threads where it has been spelled out. Let me look for some of my old posts so I don't have to spend more time explaining it.

And holding your arms up like that to play will make you end up with Lou Farigno arms.
