I think it will around 700k at the end of the year. although i can see it at 1 million at years end.

There are two factors that are in direct competition with eachother ...

1. Ratchet and Clank is not that big of a series and games have underperformed on the PS3  (as compared to their PS2 counterparts)
2. Ratchet and Clank is about the only high quality, well known, exclusive game on the PS3 this holiday season.

With that said, I imagine it will break 1 Million units but fall far short of 2 Million ...

Even though I do not want to say this, I do not think Ratchet and Clank sales will be that great. If you look at the past games in the series they sold 7.5M combined and they had been a well known series on the PS2 which by the way around 100 million people owned. I don't think the sales will reach 1M by the end of this year even though I would want it to.

I notice a trend of about 500-1 million by the end of the year. Isn't that super high considering all the games that are going to be available and the installed base. Resistance and motorstorm have the highest attach rate but have yet to hit 1 million in NA. Is this worldwide or just NA? Doesn't seem to add up for me. I can't wait to see how this one turns out.

 In terms of numbers since it is coming out towards the end of October I expect 150-200 for the month and 325-425 by the end of the year.

It looks to be the 2nd best platformer this year and one of Sony's main 2-3 titles this winter. It may sell around 40% of what Super Mario Galaxy sells by the end of the year.

300 K first two weeks of sales = Japan + NA + others sales.


Will sell more than 1 million at the end of the year.
