Forums - Microsoft - Bungie Alumnus Form Moonshot Games

October 7, 2009 - Former Bungie members Michel Bastien, Damian Isla, and Rob Stokes have banded together and formed a new development studio called Moonshot Games.

The new studio is said to focus on creating high-quality, AAA downloadable titles, and will have facilities in both Seattle Washington and Boston, Massachusetts.

Michel Bastien, former production lead on Halo 2 and Halo 3, will take the role of Managing Director in the Seattle. Damian Isla will head up the research and development in Boston. Rob Stokes, long-time Halo designer, is now the creative director.

"The Moonshot team firmly believes that the stars need not be limited to multimillion-dollar projects supported by armies of ground crew," the the announcement said. "There is a place in history for that small, nimble craft, built smartly on a modest budget, and piloted by expert hands."

The studio is said to be revealing plans for its first project soon. Check out the official website here.

Cool, wonder what they are working on.

Something for Xbox ONLY for sure.

Shadow Complex killer on the way ? :D

Excellent, can't wait to see what they can do. I think that in light of the massive success that was summer of arcade this year and last, lots of people are starting to take the XBLA market seriously.

off topic: Small nitpick, but alumnus is singular. Alumni is plural.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification. That's what happens when you just copy and paste from IGN, lol.

I'm really looking forward to see what they develop, DLC is taking a much larger role with developers now for consoles.
