Seeing as you play oblivion, I believe fallout 3 would be a great choice for you. It has a similar style as oblivion but gets rid of most of the bugs and addresses other issues from the game.

Mount and Blade is a good one. I agree with Fallout3(awesome) and Civ 4 is a must for those who like strategy.

Edit: I forgot about Cities XL and Tropico 3, that are arriving soon(Cities is avaible tomorrow through Steam).

Oh you want videogames... uh.

You don't seem to own any FPS... but if you do like the playstyle... borderlands is supposed to be a shooter-meets diablo type game with tons of loot in the form of millions of guns and randomly generated dungeons.

Civilization 4 is great too.
