If it wasn't for GAF hating VGChartz there would be no divide. VGChartz has no problems with GAF other than some people poking fun at them since they have an unreasonable hate for VGChartz.

I too wasn't able to read that thread all at once, I had to recover my breath from the laughter several times.

not at all. (short version) Brett offered NeoGAF his work effort so they could display sales numbers and they turned him down and forever banned him from the website because the numbers weren't "Official". Granted NeoGAF doesn't seem to realize that NPD numbers are also estimates just with a bigger sampling size, so those are "Official" either. He had a small private site by another name (can't remember it) at the time, and afterwards started VGCharts.org, and then switched to VGChartz.com when he decided he wanted to make it into a more complete website.

Sounds extreme banning him for it but I guess all sites have different rules, weird though as sales data would have been good on GAF, such a shame both sites don't get on, I use both (have been a member at GAF for much longer) and both have very good qualities,

I'm surprsied GAF hasn't had a facelift yet as it still looks very basic, imagine VG Chartz looks with a GAF and VGC community!

Personally, I like my own creation.  :)
