SMG is my most anticipated game this holiday. :S

Ah. Sounds like a deeply-buried marketing issue then.
There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

I hope it doesn't screw up their advertising with places like Best Buy who create their weekly ads weeks in advance. Maybe that's even one of the reasons they moved it back to the original date.
@Soriku
you may be correct as I feel Heavenly Sword got drowned in the HALO 3 hype
BUT
Ratchet is a far better game than HS anyway
EITHER WAY
great for US, I can only hope EU has got the same moving forward thing

300k? How much does this series normally move first week in NA?

@darthdevim
What do you mean by "far better" Heavenly sword was a very good game. And THE only ps3 game I have right now. The ratchet demo was awsome though.
2008 end of year predictions:
PS3: 22M
360: 25M
wii: 40M
I wonder if that means they might release the 40GB earlier just like they did with the Daxter PSP Slim which I got a week before it was supposed to be released.

I doubt this is the case with Ratchet and Clank but in the past many games have been released early in order to push sales before it has been reviewed ... The most recent example of this is Lair ...
As a guess, the reason why Ratchet and Clank was pushed forward was to limit its exposure to larger franchises (plausably SMG)
