Forums - Sony - PSP Go - It only does Everything WRONG

I don't care, and please why are you posting some forum post like it's an article.

While I really think Sony went too far with that price for the Go, the same thing the Iphone/Ipod touch is praised for, the Go gets shit on. And it's not for current PSP owners, that's very clear.

except you can keep your music on the computer and transfer it to wherever else. Apple does not keep a DRM on music, and doesn't lock out all your old CDs.

Apps are a different story, but no one is complaining when most apps are free and/or under 5 bucks a pop.

Wait. The memory can't be upgraded?

Fail.

You also can't upgrade or change out the battery, for long trips, and are suck with the battery life it comes with.

the memory cant be upgrade, there are 16gb m2 cards out there, and 32gb are in the pipeline.

battery was builtin because piracy.

it can be replaced, but you have unscrewed it.

what does the battery have to do with piracy? I'd imagine the memory cards to be where piracy is rampant.

i've heard of stories where you can run NESticle or a port any ROM emulator and literally have an entire catalog of ROMs from a whole console on a memory stick.

Pandora Battery, that's why.

I think everyone will agree that Sony took the bad luck of the PS3 and placed it on the PSP.

Well, it just sold 30k in Americas alone. At least it's good at making Sony $3 million in a week (assuming they make $100 off of each sold).

Now for the more obvious flaws:
- fewer features than previous PSPs, but at a crazy high price (250 EUR in Europe, that's 365 USD)
What fewer features???

- DRM'd games are sold for up to 40 USD online
Games are sold for up to 40 USD at retail... this makes no sense to me...

- built-in battery that can't be replaced
Pandora battery. Blame users, not SONY for trying to protect their money.

- smaller screen than previous PSPs
Also more crisp

- unergonomic, cramped controls (especially the L/R buttons)
Personal preference. I find the DSLite quite uncomfortable. Most people say it's fine.

- old, outdated and error prone wireless protocol (802.11b)
The old models are better?

- downloads can't be resumed and take forever
And the old platforms are better?? You can redownload your stuff. Also use a pc or ps3 for the downloads.

- PSP can't be used for anything else while downloading
The old models are better?

- proprietary plug instead of USB as in previous PSPs, need to buy special Sony cords
Buy??? IT FUCKIN COMES WITH IT!!!

It is beyond me how this abomination managed to make it out into he wild (well, at least into those stores who don't boycott it for obvious reasons). It doesn't reflect well on a company to release a product like this. And if you buy a PSP Go at this point, it doesn't reflect well on your state of mind.

What am I supposed to say here??? Sorry we have different gaming preferences??? Sorry if the Go fits my needs and not yours??? Sorry if I like a product and you don't??

I think you missed the entire point of a new product. It's supposed to be BETTER than the previous models, not have the same problems.

Why you using someone elses thread from another site?

So you think they spent $0 USD on research and development? Now that actually explains a lot! As for 30,000 sold units; uninformed (or stupid) people have money, too you know.
