On 29 September the Uncharted 2 open beta released on the PSN store.So I downloaded it with excitement...and I have to say this is one of the BEST online experiences I have ever experienced.

Physics are perfect, the sound and feel of the guns are spot on, and the features...the features are what really sets this apart from anything else I have played. Controls are also very well done, however they may take time to get used to. Really I can't express how great the game is, but its Naughty Dog, of course they were gonna impress us in the first place. Infact the game is so good that all I wanna do is play the Uncharted 2 beta all day. I also recently got my hands on Batman: AA which is a very good game but the U2 beta has absorbed me, I can't be asked to finish Batman anymore.

By just playing the beta, I already know why this game is getting perfect reviews left and right, it certainly could be the best game this gen. (Behind MGS4 of course, no game will touch MGS4 in a long time) PS3 owners, make sure you buy this game, if you do not own a PS3, buy one for this game. Simple. And if you havn't played Uncharted 1, go buy it now just to get a feel for Uncharted 2. (And to check out Drake's buns, if your interested in that kinda stuff...)

What else can I say? Those who have played the beta know what I'm talking about, those who have not, well your'e just missing out.

I forgot to point out that the Matchmaking can be very long sometimes, like up to 4-5 mins.

However that is my only gripe.

It's pretty fun so far....

The main thing that really bothers me is that you're stuck using the AK pretty much all the time. The weapon placement in this game is horrible.


I'll probably buy it a few days after release.

I'd actually be susprised if they didn't fix it in the full game. Not being able to join a match in progress is pretty bad. It really sucks when someone from your team bails and you're short for the rest of the match.

I actually like the weapon placements alot. The unique weapons are hidden in hard-to-find places and I like that.

I love it.

The thing that I hate about it is it makes the game feel abit repetitive and lacking in variety. Besides the AK and the somewhat weak FAL, every other wep has only 1 spawn point and takes ages to come back once it's gone. Sometimes it's not even worth chasing after anything else since you'd wanna be more focused on the game objectives.

It would've been really nice if they increased the number of common weapons in the game and then added hidden "unique" weps.
