Forums - Gaming - The vgchartz ranking game--Assassins Creed

3/10

+ looked good for the time

- extreme repitition (once you've finished the first city why bother playing the rest of the game).

- outside of towns devoid of any real entertainment.

- crappy battle mechanics.

- lack of variety in ways to kill your targets (example: can't steal a servants clothes, poison some wine and serve it to the target).

I like those little threads btw John ;)

8.7/10

-Great graphics, great story, open world, loved the combo kills
-Very repetitive at some points

I love the game and at the same time, I keep reminding myself about the repetitiveness. All in all, the pros outweigh the one con for me, and that's why I'm definitely getting the second installment :D

The game was just too damn repetitive. And it's not like how some games where it just has repetitive side missions. The game makes you do the same thing over and over. It's an entire game of repetition. That being said, it had a lot of great ideas and finally getting to assassinate a target is great fun. I'm confident that the 2nd will fix my gripes with the series and I already have it preordered and ready to enjoy.

Tech demo that was not fleshed out into a fully realized game, with bare bones 'missions', pointless flag hunts and a serious lack of anything to do despite having some of the most densely populated cities I've had the pleasure of strolling around in. Oh, and a hideously extended finale built around cheap combat hemmed in by shimmering 'invisible' walls.

The engine is great, the character animation is really great, and the fighting is fairly decent. I just want a game to go with all that.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I'm not martin luther king. I don't have a dream. I have a plan

Sell a man a fish you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish you just ruined a perfect business opportunity.

We didn't emerge out of the stone age because we ran out of stones. Its time to be proactive not reactive.

+Good graphics
+Good responsive controls

- Repetitive Repetitive Repetitive Repetitive Repetitive Repetitive Repetitive ...etc
- Very very dump AI
- Fighting system that was a joke I toke out armies just by the counter move (R1 + Square)
- All the targtest know that you are going to kill them by a cut scene so there is no stealth in the game you just chase them down and kill them for the 1000 times
- Joke story (Far worse than the crap that was in MGS4)
- Ubisoft Montreal

- Replay value (I finished it only once and didn't feel like replaying it).
