^^Can you really increase the life span of humans. Max is around 120 years and that is if you live a perfectly healthy life and live in high atmospheres. Humans will always die around that time, I don't think we can change that.

Why should 120 be max?

120 years is the maximum because there is a limit on the number of times your DNA can be replicated and still function well enough to sustain life.

I'm not saying it should be max, its just right now that's pretty much the oldest someone can get to. I don't think we'll be able to change that in a long time. Every animal has a set time they can live to even with medicines, treatments, etc. Maybe humans can't live much past the 120 mark.....

Not currently.  I find a lot of people missread what articles like this mean, becasuse the popular media can't resist eye catching terminology like 'living longer'.

Living longer is theoretically possible, so far as I'm aware, but would require medical capabilities we don't currently have - essentially tinkering with our basic biological clock.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

It makes sense that we could change it, but that would require, like you said, great technological advancements.

Yeah, so I wish they'd get a move on - I'm getting older here!
