Forums - PC - L4D2 is $20 cheaper on PC than 360

Hey, why don't the Halo pros spend a week to learn how to play with a KB/M, it's easier right? If KB/M is so much easier than why don't they do it?

See what I did?

Why do you think the devs won't do crossplatform play? Is it because they know the consolers would get destroyed? Why did they put in artificial handicaps for PC players in Shadowrun?

The pro players are skilled enough, they should be able to adapt, but that means they'll have to step up their game cause nobody good is playing with a slow ass controller.

Not buying it at all is $60 cheaper than 360

I bought the left4dead 1 for only $30 one month after release in a steam deal.

While 360 owners we still buying for $60, and they didn't get modding and had to pay for crash course.
And my 2006 PC can still play at higher resolution, detail and framerate than the 360.

Buying the 360 is a waste of money.

Do you seriously have such a hard time comprehending what I'm trying to say? I've simplified it this much and you still don't get it. I haven't said k&m doesn't take skill and I haven't said PC pro's don't have skill, I said they had a different type of skill than console gamers. Just because they have a different type of skill does not mean that neither have skill, why is that so hard for you to understand? Go back and read my analogy for the race cars and maybe then you will understand.

I have no idea what your saying with the last sentence. What your trying to do is compare pro's from two different fields and say one is better than another. Thats like saying the Lakers are better than the Patriots because they run more. The two have nothing to do with each other. Just cause someone is a PC pro doesn't mean their good on console shooters and vice versa.

I don't think you even know the difference between autoaim and magnetism. Halo 3 has no autoaim or magnetism when it comes to the sniper rifle and no magnetism and very little autoaim when it comes to the BR. Same goes for the rockets. Considering those are the 3 main weapons that are contested over and used in MLG your point is meaningless. I could post you a flashy Halo 3 montage too, that doesn't prove anything.

Honestly your so threatened by consoles that you automatically associate anything to do with them as negative without even understanding what it is you hate so much. It seems like the more the industry moves away from PC's the more elitist its supporters get.

The definitive evidence that video games turn people into mass murderers

Yeah, they have a special skills cause they need it for gamepads. Just like special olympics people have special skills too.

I'm not PC here (no pun intended), just saying the truth, sorry it hurts. PC skill > console skill because the skill ceiling is higher - and that's all because of the gamepad. But if it makes you feel any better, I really don't have a horse in this cause I think consoles are good for bringing gaming to the masses. My girlfriend plays COD on xbox with her clan, I'm glad she's having a great time with it. I play my games on my PC, no biggie. I even like some console games - Ninja Gaiden 1/2 cause they were decently hard. But when it comes to multiplayer FPSs, I know where the challenge/gameplay is - and it starts with not playing with a handicap.

It is true: M/K allow for faster gameplay allowing for crazier skillz.

They don't want to invite the cheaters to LIVE on crossplatform with PC. Console players still have no chance against PC with cheat or not. I would love to play Left4Dead 2 with M/KB on Xbox though. Already have PC gaming gears :)

You can get online cheats or hacks for like all PC games. Some are free and some you have to pay monthly. Private hacks with a monthly fee are usually undetected since they update their hacks with newer version once they are detected. There are way more hacks than the protection softwares. The hackers win in PC gaming. It's like antivirus softwares; you can't detect them all.

Explain to me how having a faster aiming system makes the skill gap higher? You keep saying that and you completely ignore my other points. Please just answer me this one question if anything, if the skill gap is so low then why doesn't a different random team become pro every week? Your just saying what you've programed yourself to say and your not even debating me anymore at this point.

Just looking at one aspect, console pro's have far better team work than PC pro's. The level of awareness and team shot is ridiculous for the Halo pro gamer. I could get into it more but its clear you just are not listening to what I'm saying, you don't even respond to my points anymore you just say lolz console shooters slow=special olympics.

Here thats just a random mediocre game I found between two average pro teams.

I really don't think it matters how many valid points I make your just going to keep saying the same thing over and over again so believe what you want but anyone using their brain can see that the skill gap is just as big for consoles as it is for the PC.

The argument isn't whether k&m is better than a gamepad anyone with experience knows it is, the argument is if PC games have a larger skill gap than console games and besides the PC guys saying the mouse aims faster they haven't given a single shred of evidence proving that.

Mouse is more accurate to the pixels  than a gamepad. Sure, pros of both PC and consoles have skils. I can't argue with that. I was answering to his question of "Why do you think the devs won't do crossplatform play?"
