Hope its better then the PSP games, 1 was crap and 2 is okay.

Pretty frustrating. I'm thinking of changing class to thief like you said, then boosting my magic.

 

Edit: Otherwise the game is fun, and the story is pretty neat.

Edit 2: I would also like to mention that most of my time spent in the game so far was running away from enemies. They just far outnumber  and outluck me. I only kill when there is one around. Unfortunately they accummulate by a LOT when you run away from all of them, and it doesn't seem like the A.I has a "stop chasing" code programmed into it, they will chase you until you kill them or enter another load screen.

You don't need a wand or a staff to do magic.

Yeah just found that out. Equipped a sword just so I can kill more enemies without wasting mana, and  then realized that I can still use magic.

Unfortunately, this game is heavily biased towards fighters.  I guess choosing different classes is like choosing different dificulty levels.

Does having a wand or staff equiped help out in any way?  it seems like a pointless wepaon based on the amount of damage they do, but if they helped with the speed of casting or caused magice points to regenerate faster those wepons woulf be worth while.  If not, I see no reason to equip anything other than fighter weapons.

Lol the game isn't simple no matter your class SC I'll put your FC on the OP. Also a big tip level all your skills to 10 in part 1. You'll find a nice suprise for each skill in part 2

jaja I played monster hunter 3 its a better looking game but man i like this game not the best looking one but fun never the less

Somebody said that people starting out the game should level up 5 lvls for each job because that gives a good stat increase that may help in your specialized job. Alright I'm leveling up all my Jobs to lvl 10, but want to know something. When a thief and using a bow and arrow, how do you shoot? I only successfully used 1 of my 99 arrows once and don't know how to replicate that. I just press "a" and then there is a blue flash, but nothing happens after that. The one time were it did something the flash was orange.

 

Edit: NVM, figured it out. They really screwed up archery BIG time. First they make it so you mount to the ground, then have to press b(bad controls from the start, well with the Classic Controller it is anyway.) Then you have to try to hit it without targetting(it doesn't let you.) You have to be like 10ft away to hit anything, and that is close enough for them to notice you and then run toward you in 2 secs, making range attack useless. Then you have like a 10% chance of actually hitting them, giving very little damage. I pity anybody who wants to play this game with all range/archery attacks. And here I thought magic was bad....
