Semi-open.  There are areas that aren't open until you do certain tasks.

Going to start working on a Review of my own for this game.

The more I play the more I think this game is a 7 or an 8. I really don't see the problems that the reviewer saw.

If anything there may be a learning curve but it's not an issue.

Anyway I guess I'll add that section to the OP for FC and how to find your Friend Code.

Music fits the game, Soriku the story is there and the character development is kind of loose as it isn’t as in your face as a JRPG.

But basically the main Character Author is the one good guy type thing, where he travels the front lines to make the world a better place.

The main females are all just there for him to choose which he likes. The game begins in part 2 to me, if you finish part 1 it just makes part 2 easier.

His Son/Daughter continues Authors quest it seems and of course there’s the mysterious Dark Knight who seems to down everything in 1 hit and the unknown character that’s always got advice for you.

The Music get’s pretty nice, I like the boss music, is it memorable? I don’t know from what I understand of you, you’d probably find some memorable enough.

Don’t get me wrong the music in this game is about as memorable as Mario Galaxy, which is hardly memorable to me, but Mario Galaxy’s music was definitely not bad.

No

Is it just me or is that sound really messed up in the video that shows the live gameplay? The footsteps are extremely loud!

Hardware is only a means to enjoy great games!

It's story driven.  There are some side quests, but they are more or less filler (so far, anyway).  It's also fairly linear (which is great if you want a story, but only if you want a story).  The story is not bad, but the game seems to rely on it too much for me to concider it a hardcore RPG.  Daggerfall it is not.

I don't understand your question about dungeon based or quest based since most RPGs give you quests that send you in to dungeons.

Got a taste of the online I'm liking.
