Sucks they only let you be a white guy (or gal) in this game. Don't the devs know that the vast majority of the people in the world are black, brown, red, and yellow!? Geez!

Am lovin' the game so far.  Only put about a few hours in thus far.  Not ready to make an appearance yet!

White as in European decendants? or White as in coloration(which you don't have to be European to be White or Vice Versa.) This is a fictional  character, and a Japanese created one at that. I find it very hard for it to represent any of today's races personally.   Also, it doesn't look like any real world race feature-wise at all, which btw, color has very little to do with anything that makes a person different from the other. It is more features caused by genetic mutation and adaption. I doubt the character's thought of real world races when developing this game. This is especially when you have to consider that they didn't even develop for the in game 'races' to look different in your character. From what I can tell, the character's aren't suppose to be representable of you anyway. It seems while they let you change the appearance, they don't make it truly full filling. That is something that goes along with the games low-production values. Either way, I don't think it matters much at all. I also don't think a Japanese Video Game company is going to be biased towards European populations when making a video game.

I'm not trying to get that deep into it, but yeah, white as in European.  Would've been nice if they included skin tones - like Oblivion or even the Mii Channel, lol!

Well then, I stand by all those claims I mentioned. If we were to explain it as a real world race, I would say the main character(depending on the face you choose) looks predominately Eurasian(European + Asian mixed in this case.) I guess to target both of the main audience. Personally, I would hate to describe a Video Game character in a Fantasy world as European or any other race, as the developers rarely even think of what features denote the race of a character(definitely not color.) I agree though, there should have been more customization options. There also should have been different appearance of the race that you choose in game(Dwarf, Human, Elf, Halfing and various mixes.)

Hey guys I just started the game today, just made my character. How do I reduce the sound on the footsteps though? They are so annoying.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

In the title screen, you go to options(or settings?), and move there is a setting for how much music in relation to sound effects you will have. Move it more toward the music bar, not all the way though if you still want to here other sound effects.
