Lol the game isn't simple no matter your class SC I'll put your FC on the OP. Also a big tip level all your skills to 10 in part 1. You'll find a nice suprise for each skill in part 2

All of my skills? That would be quite hard. I would have to max out every job at lvl 50(I think the level cap?) just for 5. Do you mean the usefull ones?

This game seems better than I thought it was. I think I will have to pick it up some time soon. Some of the class stuff sounds neat.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Alright I'm leveling up all my Jobs to lvl 10, but want to know something. When a thief and using a bow and arrow, how do you shoot? I only successfully used 1 of my 99 arrows once and don't know how to replicate that. I just press "a" and then there is a blue flash, but nothing happens after that. The one time were it did something the flash was orange.

Edit: NVM, figured it out. They really screwed up archery BIG time. First they make it so you mount to the ground, then have to press b(bad controls from the start, well with the Classic Controller it is anyway.) Then you have to try to hit it without targetting(it doesn't let you.) You have to be like 10ft away to hit anything, and that is close enough for them to notice you and then run toward you in 2 secs, making range attack useless. Then you have like a 10% chance of actually hitting them, giving very little damage. I pity anybody who wants to play this game with all range/archery attacks. And here I thought magic was bad....

I'm pretty much going through the game without playing as a thief or bard.  They don't seen to have any skills I would find useful.

You can increase your targeting range.

Anyway I got all my other jobs to 6, cause I got bored of mindless grinding. Mage was at 12. I tried killing him again, didn't beat him, but better. So I then thought maybe I should use the rock monster at the beginning of the dungeon to level up. So there is two ledges to go down, and boxes down there. The Rock Monster can't hit me because it is too slow to get down a ledge. My partner deals with him while I use magic. So yeah I went from 12 to 16 in 30 minutes doing this. I also got 3 staffs, 2 that boost fire by 10(I am a fire mage), and one that boosts wind by 12. I got two desert boots, and a golden gaunt or bracelet(can't remember.) This method works pretty good. I am fairly confident I can beat this boss by the night ends. Magic is powerful, when you get a chance to use it.

Edit: Those gold sleeves just gave me 10,000 gold. :)

Edit 2: Got 3 more Gold Sleeves, and like 10 Flame Quartz. Brought my gold count to 90,000. That is like 20 times more than my previous highest before I got any Gold Sleeves. :)

Edit 3: YEP I finished it finally. Now to move on. :)

I started doing some side quests, and I love how they all have stories to them. It is quite nice actually. Much better than find 10 of these, or kill 5 of these.

Edit: Wow the magic in this game is awesome. I got to the next boss(es) and I killed them easily just by using fire strike. I had like 3 left, and then I used fire strike and all three died making me win the fight. VERY REWARDING feel.

Ok, I got a little ahead of myself and completed the game.

The story is freakn awesome, no spoilers here, it's really good stuff how it ended.

The game play has a Monster Hunter lite type learning curve this means:

Sc I main a samurai/archer trust me Bow's can be over powered as feck.

I beat the last boss in 5 hits without having to pull my sword.

It all depends on how you raise the character.

I wont exactly share my build, but my guy is a combo of quite a few other classes.

He can kill will magic but not like a real mage would obviously.

Sc no matter which type of offense your mounting it has to be smart, even the swordsmen with their shields have to know when to lock on go in or stay loose and run around a little.

As for leveling if you find a mob that giving you a lot of exp milk it.

In Episode 1 for me it was the dragons, you can see them a lot in the north plains and in the rhianos mountain range.

In Episode 2 the dragons that spawn in necropolis spawn like crazy later on, they hit hard and fast but give insane exp considering I'm level 39.

Thayne thiefs get exit if you unlock them right, that skill mean you get 1 more slot on your items.

Also Daggers are not weak at all, dual wielding daggers with the fire ring set up means over 60 damage a hit for me. When I'm thief though.

Some people like the monk/dagger set up online I've noticed.

How many hours did it take you to beat each Episode?

edit: Also, this game changed my opinion on it in a matter of hours and I'm far from finished.
