Come on people, your not getting the point, you cannot evaluate this product as a gaming platform. It needs to be evaluate as a portable multimedia player that plays PSP games. 250$ is a very good price point considering that with a Ipod video you cannot play PSP games, and that the PSPgo play many more file extension, is also less hassle to configure, set-up and copy files. Also have a better, bigger, brighter screen.
The PSPgo will sell to people that will not even use it for games.
Just to get some fact straight:
- most games on PSN sell for less than in retail store (you dont need to pay a distributor nor shipping)
- you can now plug bluetooth headset (for skype), and PS3 controller when you play at home, also have built in memory, so they are not charging more for less.
Theres only 2 valid points against the PSPgo
- No way for current owner to convert games
- Controls are a bit cramped since its so much smaller
