At the moment MS is simply looking into it.
If I were they, I'd do it. Electronic Arts is weak at the moment and the newly acquired exclusive IPs would ensure 1st place in the western world.
In the end, it would deeply divide for at least two generations Japanese and Western gaming, weakening the first, strenghtening the latter, assuring MS a prospering market.
