This. Although "stupidity" seems like a bit of a strong word.

why isn't this thread locked yet. The title is outlandish.
Sony said that retailers are happy that it's bringing people in. They never said that the pspgo is to get people to buy a psp3000.
Shut this thread mods.

Title is reasonable. You guys remind me of people who don't think their own shit smells.
Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.
How is the title reasonable? They never said that. THe woman said
retailers are happy because it is bringing people in, who even though they might not be able to afford the hardware, might buy a psp3000 instead. She said that stores are seeing it this way.
The title makes it seem like sony released the pspgo to sell more psp3000s.
Not only that, it's the retailers saying this, not sony.

The content of a thread with that title should say something more like
"we released the pspgo to renew interest in the psp line. We wanted people to go to stores and see what the psp platform is all about."

Sony's claire blackhouse is right. It brings people to store when a new hardware launches. Once people get in store, it's up to the salesperson to recommend the much better and cheaper regular PSP.

wow...
She's Sony's UK Product Manager, she's kinda high on the list of managers for Sony, I'd say it was a safe bet for me to put her in the title as "Sony:"
You really think I could fit (Sony's UK Product Manager Claire Blackhouse says PSP-Go is to get people into stores to buy a PSP-3000) in the f'en title?...
And the title makes perfect sense, because I don't see her denying it, but rather going with it.

look what she says right here:
"she says that retailers see the console launch this week as a "way of getting people into the store," that those not able to afford the new hardware will "aspire to it" and "might buy the PSP 3000 instead.""
This title should be written either as
SONY:Retailers: yadda yadda
or
SONY: PSPGo helps get yadda yadda
or
you could have even used the title of the actual article
You did this for hits.
